Spring 2005 Field Test Report

Doors of opportunity are usually well concealed -- open slowly and close quickly. When Texas Parks and Wildlife Officer Shea Guinn said, “How would you like to test your bullets on some hogs?” In addition, we were invited to hunt at Stasney’s cook Ranch in Albany, Texas for a video hunt and product test with Traditions Firearms! Everything else went on hold!

Shea’s particular interest was a depredation area that needed attention. We began to coordinate schedules, arrange time away for “most of the crew”, get needed supplies together, then off to Albany and Throckmorton, Texas and what turned out to be a fantastic hunt and super time of product testing. We knew the Jacketed Hydra-Cons were good; we just didn’t know how well! This would be the “Baptism of Fire” for the Parker Ballistic Extreme.

We also had the opportunity to do a joint new product test with Traditional Firearms and Keith Warren Hunting Adventures on video. We were testing Traditions Pursuit Rifles and the T-Shock XLR Bullets, which we produce for Traditions. Check out the fall showing of Keith Warren’s Hunting Adventures for Parker Production’s Team and Traditions Firearms and Sales Manager, Jim Bruno, as we test our bullets made for Traditions and the Pursuit Rifle on some hogs at the famed Stasney’s Cook Ranch.

If you are looking for a hunting experience that will allow you to see deer, turkey and hogs in abundance, outstanding hospitality, fine meals and comfortable accommodations, call Johnny Hudman at (325) 762-2121 or you can find them on the web at www.stasney.com.

The following photos and data give the results of the hunt and bullet performance.
